Increase Your Risk of Heart Disease

Not getting enough sleep means you could end up with higher blood pressure and even higher levels of certain chemicals in your body. All of that can increase the risk of your developing different forms of heart disease, without you even realizing it.

Decrease Your Sex Drive

Libido is directly tied to a number of different functions within your body and if you’re not getting enough sleep that’s one of the areas you’re going to notice a dramatic difference. In men, it’s tied to a decrease in testosterone, which decreases your overall sex drive.

Decrease Your Memory

Your brain works hard throughout the night, forming connections and pathways that allow you to store the information that you learned throughout the day. If you don’t get enough sleep you could be damaging your brains ability to create these pathways, which can mean less short-term and long-term memory functions.


When you’re looking at your sleep schedule and you already know that you have some problems it’s important to look at all of the different ways that it could be affecting you. The truth is, these are only a few things that a lack of sleep can cause. There are multitudes more out there, and that’s why you need to work on how to fall asleep fast, and get great quality sleep as well.
